QUEENSLAND TEAMS 2009 ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to all the Qld representatives for 2009. A Special mention should be made of the Over 70 Qld Team. This is the first team in this age group to represent Queensland and hopefully there will be an Over 70's division for the first time in Melbourne. While most of us can only dream about still being fit enough to play Hockey after 70 these guys are living the dream.
To view all the Qld teams go to the "Teams" section of this website and choose the team you are interested in.

OVER 45 and 55 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Thesew ere held on the June Long Weekend in Rockhampton. Rockhampton Hockey did a fantastic job of hosting a very friendly, laid back championships. There were over 20 teams so there were some grass games but everyone had a great time and for once did not play an exhausting number of games.
The final of the Over 45's was a central Queensland affair with Rockhampton being the eventual winners after a penalty shoot out against Gladstone.
The Over 55's was won by Sunshine Coast who played Townsville in the final and who remained unbeaten in the tournament.
For the full results go to the "State Championships" section of this website.

PLEASE NOTE: All money owing must be paid in full by the 30 June.
The accommodation owners are insisting on full payment by 30 June, so, unfortunately, we have no option but to ask everyone to have their money and orders in by this date.
Please adhere to the deadline as this makes it easier for Paul Hardie who has to order uniforms and for Warren Flower who has been negotiating with the accommodation venues.
For a list of the venues and links to their websites have a look at the "Events" page of this website.
Just so you are aware of the accommodation costs - they will be $1050 approx p/p for 14 nights. |
