Nominations are being received for over 35’s Queensland selection – the due date has been extended for Over 35 only due to the lateness of allocation of their championships.

Selection processes will begin during
- Premier League competition in Brisbane
- Over 35 intercity competition in
Ipswich
- Both between 30 April and 3rd May 2010
- Please note that the same conditions apply to Over 35 as to other divisions – namely a $200 non refundable deposit is required within 14 days of selection which will be credited to your invoice for uniforms etc. Please see the Nominations Page for complete details.
If you are participating in these competitions and have not nominated please do so as soon as possible.
The QLD side selected will travel to either ACT or NSW at the end of the current season.
In 2009 the Championship was played over 3 days with teams from Vic, NSW, QLD and a Barbarian side. The competition was not played over a long weekend.
Assuming the same scenario this year, there would be time off work required to attend the Championship. Wives and family are welcome to stay with the team.
Players not successful in the QLD selection process will be eligible to play in the Barbarian side. Last year QLD had 3 representatives selected in the Barbarian side.
The Championship is run under the full approval of the Australian Masters Hockey Assoc. This body also controls the National Masters Championships held each year.
New Zealand held their first Over 35’s Championship recently. Representation will be made to the NZ association to investigate an International Series.
